Siegius

Siegius is real-time strategy game on the background of the conflict of Gaul and Rome. You have to build an army and mine gold and keep advancing your troops toward the enemy base. Each battle demands a different strategy: some levels call for economic expansion, some call for a defensive posture, and some call for you to take the offensive before the enemy can replenish their ranks.

Siegius: Build your army and advance

Mine gold and summon troops

Gold is a vital resource in Siegius. Your peons mine gold for your army. When you have enough resources, you can summon more units and keep your troops on the battlefield.

Each kind of unit has a particular purpose. Archers offer back-line support and Berserkers are great for direct assaults. Boar Riders can quickly find themselves in the thick of battle on the front lines. Behemoths are powerful, but slow and expensive to deploy.

Your resource management will directly impact the battle. But hoarding gold isn't always the best strategy either. If you summon too many expensive units you may find yourself short-handed at a crucial time. You must strike a balance between economic growth and maintaining pressure on your opponent.

Siegius and ever-changing battles

Each level presents unique challenges

The Siegius campaign follows the Gallic forces as they advance into Roman territory. Levels involve more than just summoning troops and watching them march forward; some feature time limits, while others offer no gold sources on the map. Certain missions force you to survive against relentless artillery barrages.

Terrain and level objectives dictate your gameplay strategy. Like, if you’re fighting something with a ton of Archers, you’ve got to figure out how to pressure the front lines enough. When the artillery arrives, you can get your entire formation blown away by rushing your troops forward too early.

Finding the Right Formation

Siegius allows you to experiment with various troop combinations. Archers can stand behind melee units and do consistent damage. Boar Riders are used to support the swift attacks . Behemoths are a lot of pressure on the front line , but they are very resource intensive .

The strongest unit isn't always the best choice, you can field more troops in the same amount of time with a cheaper army composition. Once your economy stabilizes, continuously reinforcing your ranks helps maintain pressure on the Roman base.

The Final Campaign and the Confrontation with Caesar

The last phase of Siegius takes the fight to Mystery Island. Behemoths are now part of your formation, Archers continue to support from the rear. Players are forced to balance between expanding their forces and protecting their economy to keep the offense going.

Caesar arrives on the battlefield for the final battle. The Roman army counterattacks in force, putting heavy pressure on the Gallic base. You have to keep reinforcing your troops, keep the line of defense and take advantage of opportunities to push forward on the enemy base.

And so the Gaul campaign ends in the defeat of Caesar. Siegius combines resource management, army composition and level-specific tactics for a combat campaign with a constantly shifting pace.
