Keeping your oil well under control can decide how long your army stays in The Battle fight. The well outside your base provides the money needed to produce units, research new technology, and fire the weapons built into your fortress. If the enemy captures it, your economy can quickly become a problem.
The goal is to destroy the opposing forces and their fortress while keeping your own position secure. As the battles become harder, success depends on more than simply producing more soldiers. You need to choose useful units, capture important positions, and spend your limited resources carefully.
You start with only two types of military units, so research is essential for building a stronger force. New technology allows you to expand into Land, Air, and Sea units, giving you more ways to approach different situations on the battlefield.
The available forces include regular infantry, rocket infantry, light tanks, heavy tanks, rocket launchers, helicopters, fighter jets, and warships. Each unit requires a different amount of money to research, so unlocking everything immediately is not always the best use of your resources.
Units automatically move toward the enemy base when they are created, but you can change their movement whenever necessary. Click a single unit to select it, or drag across multiple units to select a group. You can then click another position on the map to give them a new destination.
This allows you to separate your forces and approach the enemy from different positions. Infantry can move ahead to capture important locations while heavier units stay behind and provide additional firepower.
Infantry is useful for more than attacking enemy troops. Riflemen and anti-tank infantry can capture enemy gun towers and fortifications, allowing your forces to take control of important defensive positions.
Oil wells can also be captured by foot soldiers. This makes territory an important part of The Battle because taking an enemy resource can help your economy while putting pressure on their ability to keep producing forces.
Your oil well is particularly important because it provides the income needed to keep your military operating. Losing it can affect almost every part of your strategy, from producing new units to researching technology and using fortress ammunition.
This creates a constant trade-off between pushing into enemy territory and making sure your own resources remain protected. A successful attack means little if your army runs out of money before it can finish the job.
The fortress has its own weapon system, allowing you to fire different types of ammunition at locations on the battlefield. The default weapon can be fired by clicking a point in the play area, while the troop selector menu lets you choose other ammunition.
Each shot costs money, with the price depending on the ammunition being used. Because of that cost, fortress weapons are most useful when they deal with a threat that your regular units cannot handle efficiently.
The fortress can support your army while it advances, but using its weapons constantly can drain the same resources needed for your military research and unit production.
Good timing is therefore important. A well-placed shot can help your troops break through a difficult position, while unnecessary attacks may leave you short on money when you need to replace units or unlock a stronger force.
The early stages give you time to learn how the units, research system, and battlefield controls work. Later stages become more demanding, making unit combinations and positioning increasingly important.
Different military forces have different strengths, so building an effective army means considering what each unit can contribute rather than relying on one type of soldier throughout the entire battle.
The Battle becomes a resource-management challenge as much as a military one. You need enough income to maintain your army, enough research to access stronger forces, and enough control of the battlefield to create a path toward the enemy fortress.
Keeping these elements balanced is what turns a collection of individual units into an effective fighting force. Protect your economy, capture useful positions, and commit your strongest forces when you have the resources to finish the attack.
