They Are Coming is a zombie survival defense game that gets wilder as the waves of enemies get larger and with every day you survive. Buy high-powered weapons and gear and build robust defenses so you can make it through.
You begin with $300 and comical weaponry, so every last addition is earned. Construct some barricades, find a way to earn some extra cash, and equip yourself with weapons that can take on the ever-deadly waves of the undead. You will encounter more baddies and stronger baddies, so you will need more firepower to dispose of them and stronger defenses so your lines don't fall.
Barriers will slow zombies and buy you some time to kill them. Start with simple walls, and reach for concrete and traps to slow down more quick zombies. You can also buy a golden egg laying chicken or an assassin's outfit to earn some additional cash, too.
A balanced approach should be aimed at two objectives:
All weapons have their pros. Some are better on fast zombies, others can break heavy armor or kill several enemies at once. It is also a good idea to switch weapons at the right moment, especially when fighting shielded or armored (or both) zombies.
Key machinery:
Zombie waves get bigger and stronger. Later upgrades offer more powerful melee weapons, additional grenade launchers, automation of turrets, and companions to help with artillery. As preparation for simply surviving each wave increases, protective armor and healing items become more important.
They Are Coming penalizes the wasteful and rewards forward thinkers. You have to put up good defenses early, establish a legitimate source of income, and push the right weapons for the type of zombies you are facing. By combining the right firepower, armor, and strategy, you can turn a desperate fight for survival into an effective stand against the zombie apocalypse.
