Age of Warriors is a tower defense strategy game with a campaign mode that throws players into the heart of the fight between the Vikings and the Roman Empire. The game is not a series of disconnected fights. Instead, the game is a journey, with each stage being a location on the campaign map.
The two factions are positioned at opposite ends of the map: the Vikings begin at a village of wooden structures and a small fortress, while the Romans occupy the opposing side, defended by sturdy stone fortifications. Situated between the two sides is the invasion route that players must traverse stage by stage.
Before each battle, the game presents a preparation screen styled as an ancient scroll map. Here, players can select the difficulty level (default: EASY), preview the battle environment, and view the potential star rewards.
The first battle, the Battle of Aclea takes place in a snowy region, featuring wooden huts, campfires, and miniature troops visible in the preview window. Once ready, players click "TO BATTLE" to begin.
During a battle, players command the Viking forces to confront the Roman army. The core objective lies in balancing resource management with the timely deployment of troops.
Gold is the most critical resource. Players use gold to recruit units, perform upgrades, and maintain their defensive lines.
A / D or Left/Right Arrow Keys: Pan the camera view across the map.
Mouse: Select upgrades, interact with game elements, and control units during battle.
