Archery King is an action archery game. You play as a teenage archer who must go through difficult stages with weird foes, powerful attacks and challenging boss fights. You start with automatic bow assaults, but you can optionally click on certain spots to release arrows raining down from the sky.
Sweet rewards for every killed enemy. More and more strong enemies will need greater upgrades and faster judgements. In Archery King your young archer runs forward automatically, confronting foes in his way. He can fire his bow without your constant input, letting you concentrate on the action in front of you. But that's not the only way you may attack. Click on a location to summon a rain of arrows from above that strikes adversaries in an area. Together, these two assault types allow you to remove dangerous groupings, and keep moving through the ever tougher levels.
Your enemies are wooden rings made out of tree trunks, but they have arms to attack and legs to walk about. Kill them and you get gold and green orbs, which seem to be some sort of health resource. These incentives are crucial to preserving your momentum and overcoming tougher battles. As you progress adversaries are bigger, tougher and more heavily armoured. Each new stage presents a tougher challenge.
At the end of each stage, a boss fight against a huge, tree-like creature. These encounters will test your abilities to both do harm, and deal with other threats. Bosses are able to spawn smaller monsters that will quickly attack your archer and drain his health. Ignoring these reinforcements is perilous, especially when numerous adversaries arrive at once.
When a boss calls for reinforcements, rapidly kill those adversaries before their attacks pile up on your archer. One key exception, however. If the boss is close to defeat, then it's better to focus on finishing it off, rather than wasting precious time cleaning out every summoned adversary. Defeating the boss ends the stage, therefore landing the final blow can be the best choice when triumph is near.
Also, make excellent use of the resources you earn to prepare for tougher adversaries. Later stages are about doing fight more efficiently, not just doing the same thing over and over again, with bigger bodies, tougher attacks and greater armour.
