Approach the homeowner from behind and hit them on the back of the neck to knock them unconscious. Once they are unconscious, you can freely search for treasure. However, if you are detected by the camera system and the alarm sounds, you're finished because they will wake up and catch you.
To unlock a physical lock, you need to insert your master key into the small slot while the roller moves from side to side of the lock. Timing is key; if you miss, try again. For combination locks, you need to find the homeowner's notes nearby, memorize the code, and then move to the next floor.
