There are more WW1 games than museums, and the WW1 Battle Simulator has a strategic option. You probably learned about this battle in school or from movies or TV programs, so you know who was involved. Since all major nations participated in the second half of the war, many tales center on it. You command a variety of troops that can destroy the battlefield and any soldiers in its path when placed properly.
The traditional WW1 game puts you in the position of one soldier in an army fighting a war, therefore the action concentrates on their development. This strategy game emphasizes balance and coverage-based decision-making. You can deploy several troops if you have the resources. Without knowing whether your men may return home, victory is unlikely. The troops depend on you to form a team that can overcome any obstacle.
WW1 Battle Simulator is a mouse-controlled 3D isometric strategy game set in WW1's second half. The pointer navigates the game UI to choose settings and troops. Click on a unit's symbol with the Left Mouse Button, move the mouse to an empty battlefield, and click again to deploy. Each fight is about defeating the opposing army with your troops to win the most stars with the least fatalities.
Only deploy as many forces as you can afford. Your money is in the bottom center and each unit's cost is underneath their symbol. You start with one troop type, but as you win fights, you unlock additional. Each fight fought and soldier defeated earns you additional money. Once all your soldiers are deployed, hit Play to start the combat. Your troops will automatically assault you when they reach the opponent.
The weapons of each unit determine their assaults and health. Pistol and rifle users have the lowest health but the largest range and occasionally explosives. Shotgun and launcher units are tougher and deliver more damage but have a limited range. If you can afford it, use a tank to destroy opposing troops.
As with any army or squad, balance is key. Have tougher troops lead and long-range attackers follow after you have more diversity. You can steamroll many fights with numerous tanks if you can afford them.
Have fun and good luck!
