The top left and right corners display your metrics. You can pause time in chaotic situations. You can save your game progress on your phone.
First, check the corner map for weapon shops and other attractions. A group can be drawn by an attacker, so don't approach individuals unless you're ready to fight. Get into cars to defend yourself and attack police.
