Boat Battles is a turn-based shooter that captures the classic Flash game vibe. You control Simon and his crew on small rafts, facing off against groups of enemies positioned on the opposing side. The rules are simple to grasp: choose your angle, adjust the power, and fire. Then, it’s the opponent's turn. Your goal is to either defeat all enemies by dealing damage or knock them off their rafts.
Every shot requires a bit of calculation. The distance between the rafts varies from level to level, and the positioning of your crew and the enemies means your firing angle won't always be the same. A direct hit on an opponent isn't always the best choice. Knocking an enemy off their raft eliminates them instantly without wasting much ammo.

With practice, you’ll memorize effective firing angles. Some levels even allow for shots that curve around terrain or hit multiple targets.

You’ll face various enemy groups, from thugs, Vikings, and pirates to foes wielding bombs and rockets. Some levels even feature hippos appearing mid-battle, adding a layer of complexity to target selection.
Boat Battles offers various types of ammo for different situations. Standard shots work well for nearby, predictable targets. Rockets and bombs are more useful for dealing massive damage or hitting hard-to-reach spots. Using the most powerful weapon isn't always the right move; sometimes, a lighter shot at the perfect angle can take out a target more efficiently.
Rewards earned after each level can be used to upgrade your raft. These upgrades give your team an edge as the battles become increasingly challenging. You can also unlock additional crew members and boost your team's combat capabilities. As opponents become more accurate with their aim, these upgrades become crucial for progressing further.
